Line C3
is a collection of percussionists committed to sharing the best of percussion repertoire in the most entertaining way possible. The group has toured Japan, been featured soloist with the American Composers Orchestra in Zankel Hall, and twice been quartet-in-residence for the Juilliard School Summer Percussion Seminar. Formed in 2003, Line C3 is known for combining an uncompromising standard of musicianship with a rigorous emphasis on fun. 

Chris Thompson

Originally from the San Francisco bay area, percussionist Chris Thompson has performed all over the world with an eclectic mix of ensembles and musicians. He is a member of Alarm Will Sound, the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME), the Knights Chamber Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of New York, the Line C3 percussion group, and the Vermont Mozart Festival Orchestra.

He has performed as a guest with The Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center Festival, Antony and the Johnsons, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Daniel Bjarnason, Doveman, New York Chamber Soloists, Nico Muhly, Mono, Ensemble Pennetier, Dirty Projectors, Caleb Burhans, New York City Master Chorale, Sam Amidon, the Stamford Symphony, and for On- and Off-Broadway theater, including the New York productions of Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Chris has recorded for numerous solo and chamber music projects, including for Nonesuch, Sony Classical, Naxos, BET, and A&E Networks. He holds a M.M. from Juilliard, where he studied with Daniel Druckman, and a B.A. from UCLA, where he studied with Mitchell Peters.
