Line C3
is a collection of percussionists committed to sharing the best of percussion repertoire in the most entertaining way possible. The group has toured Japan, been featured soloist with the American Composers Orchestra in Zankel Hall, and twice been quartet-in-residence for the Juilliard School Summer Percussion Seminar. Formed in 2003, Line C3 is known for combining an uncompromising standard of musicianship with a rigorous emphasis on fun. 

Chris Thompson

Originally from the San Francisco bay area, percussionist Chris Thompson is a member of Alarm Will Sound, the Line C3 Percussion Group, the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME), and the Chamber Orchestra of New York.

He has collaborated or performed as a guest with an eclectic mix of ensembles and musicians including The Metropolitan Opera, Björk, Antony and the Johnsons, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Tyondai Braxton, Doveman, American Composers Orchestra, GLANK, The Knights Chamber Orchestra, They Might Be Giants, OK Mozart Festival, Vermont Mozart Festival, Nico Muhly, Stamford Symphony, Dirty Projectors, Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Efterklang, Young People's Chorus of NYC, Wordless Music, and for On- and Off-Broadway theater, including the New York productions of WickedThe Phantom of the OperaCinderellaOn a Clear DayAnything GoesSee What I Wanna See, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Chris is recorded on numerous solo and chamber music projects, including for Nonesuch, Sony Classical, Bedroom Community, Cantaloupe, Naxos, BET, and A&E Networks. He holds a M.M. from Juilliard, where he studied with Daniel Druckman, and a B.A. from UCLA, where he studied with Mitchell Peters.
